The only Missouri record which I have on them is the following 1850 Reynolds
Co., MO census. I suspect that between 1840 and 1850 they were living near
Oates, MO. They were probably married in Washington Co., MO about 1840.
1850 Reynolds Co., MO Census; 76th District, page 395b, Dwelling/Family 97:
NANCE, Clement H., my great-grandfather , was born in Kentucky on 8 Dec.
1818. He was in the 1840 & 1850 census´ for Liberty Township, Washington County, MO. Wife´s name Rachel born in Tennessee in 1823. Children:
Susanah age 5, William F. age 2 and Mary age 4/12 all born in Missouri.
When the 1860 census was taken he was in McDonald County, MO. with a new
wife and more children. Any information would be appreciated.
I am researching a McINTIRE/McENTIRE family that settled in the Belleview
Valley area in a town called Caledonia, Mo. Earliest known ancester was
Charles McIntire b.1818 in Ohio, and married Susan Hurt in Missouri . May
have had connections to Iron county. Do you have information related to this
group of McIntires? If so, I would be interested in sharing with you.
Thanks, Jim Kidd in Texas Txcisco@aol.com

Patrick MITCHEL died after 29 June 1870 but before the 1870 census. He was
born 1792 Ireland.
John Mitchel(l) born 1820-34 Ireland died feb 8 1874
Mary McDonnell MITCHEL(L) born ca 1833 Cincin. Ohio d 22-July 1870
(childbirth).
Anne McDonnell DONAHUE wife of Hugh Donahue. Unknown death date.
These were Catholic folks and Mary especially likely to have been buried in a
churchyard.( my father's cousin remembers as a young girl her mother and
grandmother going to a churchyard cemetery to visit Mary Mitchel's grave) Are
there cemetery listings available for St James Church? Are there Parish death
records for St James Church between 1866-1875? From the records copied on
microfilm, it seems they were between Priests.. Eugene OHeay and M. Reilly.
Thank you for any clues you may provide.

I am seeking information on the parents of my great grandfather, James
Monroe JOHNSTON. He was born in Washington County on July 14, 1837. I
believe he was the oldest of four children, the last two children were
twins born between 1846 and 1848. James had a brother, William, who was
born in 1844 or 1845. It is possible that his mother´s first name was
Curency, born about 1816 in Virginia. I believe her maiden name was
THOMPSON. Apparently, James´ father was killed in the Mexican-American
War. The family moved to Reynolds County at a later date and they are
listed there on the 1870 census.
