I'm trying to locating information on the BLAY family.
I would like to know when Charles and Julia McCLAIN and their daughter
Angeline and Leonard CALLIOT / LACHANCE died and where they are buried in
Washington County. They are all listed on the 1850 Missouri Census for
Bellevue twnshp, Washington County. Angeline and Leonard Calliot are the
parents of my great grandmother Julia Calliot, who married Patrick
DAUGHERTY in Old Mines, Mo. in 1869.
I am interested in learning more about a John STUART who had a land dealing
with Anninias MCCOY.
Looking for my g.g.g grandmother, Hester THOMAS, b. Belleview Twp,
Washington Co, abt 1840. Cenus shows her occupation as 'cook'. She may
have been a slave to a family named THOMAS (possibly a John THOMAS) in
1860. She later moved to Kingston Twp in Washington Co.
Hester's daughter, Emeline THOMAS b. 1854-57 in Belleview Twp, Washington
Co was listed in the census as a mulatto - so her father may have been
Hester's owner/employer.
If anyone is researching this family please contact me and I'll gladly
share what information I have found.
Violet Silvers was born in Washington County in late 1814 and married William
Isgrigg in Washington Co. in 1832 (per marriage records). They later lived
mostly in Crawford Co. Violet was still alive in the 1900 census. Who were
her parents? As of the 1850 census, James Silvers was living in Washington
Co. and was the right age (about 70 or b. about 1780), but that is not much
to go on. Is anyone researching this family?

his son George Wilson Gilliam 1847-1924 and G.W.'s wife Anna Mathis
