I am just beginning research on the Simon/Simeon/Simone RODERIQUE/RODERICK family of Washington Co MO. Simon's name is listed in various census records with any of the above spellings. Also, the surname was used both ways. I believe Simon Roderique, born 1799, died 13 April 1876, in Washington Co MO. His first wife, Margaret [Perry] died in 1840. I am needing verification of burial for Simon and Margaret and family. They had eight children, all born in Washington Co:

George, 18 June 1824;
Emily 27 Nov 1825, m George Reynolds;
Lewis, 5 Sept 1828 d 4 Mar 1863;
Ferdinand, 25 Feb 1831 Old Mines, Washington County, m 7 Mar 1858 to Mary Catherine Daugherty, d 24 Feb 1917;
Mary Jane 24 July 1833 d 20 Dec 1875, m Charles Hulsey;
John James 15 Dec 1835 d 4 Aug 1923 m Amanda Johnson;
Benjamin Franklin b ?;
Infant Roderique 1840 (possibly died same time as mother, at birth).
Any assistance would be 'greatly' appreciated!

My name is Anita McClanahan Kendall from Chesterfield, MO. I believe that my great-great-grandfather Elijah McCLANAHAN, born 1830, died between 1863-1873 in Washington county, possibly near Caledonia or Belleview. I have been told that he and his wife, Jane Nelson McClanahan, died near the same time due to some epidemic. Possibly some of their children, as well. Any information on this McClanahan family would be very appreciated.

Would like to hear from others with TALBOTT - CAIN - BRIM - ROBERTSON -FARRIS.

James Talbott m. Sarah Jane Cain; James Brim m. Prudence Robertson; Benjamin Talbott m. Laura Farris.

Would also be interested in knowing who the Coleman was who attempted to murder my James Talbott. Although the Washington County History doesn't say my James Talbott, it mentions his brother Hiram. However, the newspaper article shows it was because of James that Hiram killed the Coleman man.
