Ella Head & Unknown Lady
The lady on the left is Ella Francis (Cain) Head Nettles (1888-1976), the man in the middle is Melvin Thomas Head (Ella's son) (1930-1997). The picture was made in Potosi about 1949. The location is in front of Ella's home which was across the street from the Tire shop on Missouri avenue (old Hwy 21). She lived in the house next to the sale barn, which is not there now.
The lady on the right must have been a friend, but we can't find anyone who recognizes her. Can You? UPDATE: The lady has been identified as Foldie May (COLOYCOTT) WOODS by Darrell WOODS. It's not yet known what her relationship with Ella (HEAD) NETTLES and/or Melvin HEAD was.
